Textural Rhythms - Jazz Quilts

Countdown time! Textural Rhythms: Quilting the Jazz Tradition opens February 8 until March 31, 2007, at the Elijah Pierce Gallery of the Kings Arts Complex in Columbus, Ohio.
Carolyn Mazloomi has curated another phenomenal quilt exhibit featuring today's leading art quilters. These jazz-themed quilts will travel to the California African American Museum, the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History, and other venues nationally.
The exhibit catalog will be available next few weeks. It's sure to be an award-winning book as Mazloomi's Spirits of the Cloth: Contemporary African American Quilts or the popular Threads of Faith, which featured quilts with religious or spiritual themes. Can't wait to see Textural Rhythms!
Update: Just rec'd an email from Amazon.com .... It's now accepting pre-orders for March 15th release!

Kyra, I am enjoying your blog so much. I look forward to checking in at least once a week to see what is happening expecially in the quilting world. Your blog is like no other. Thanks.

This a.m., I was delighted to see your Post on the Textural Rhythms-Jazz Quilts. One of my quilts has been selected for this traveling show and I am delighted to be a part of it. So, I can't wait to see the entire show when it comes to Washington and Baltimore.

I ordered mine yesterday. I was so so sad I couldn't go to the exhibit opening to see my piece (and everyone else's!!!!). I now have to wait to see it in Baltimore. I can't believe it is finally open. I am so excited!
