Willard Wigan - Micro Sculptor - Eye of Needle

My Mom forwarded this report to me - just had to share it! Have a look at UK micro artist Willard Wigan. Some of his work sold in 2007 and later was insured by Lloyd's of London for 11.2 million pounds - that's about $20 million. Now, wonder if he's created a mini quilt?! You can also visit Mr. Wigan's website by clicking here. Enjoy!

In Mexico, where I lived for a few, there seems to be a trend towards this type of miniaturization....the Lord's Prayer inscribed on a grain of rice, or a painting of the Virgin of Guadalupe on a mustard seed, etc. I have an appreciation (from a distance) of anyone who would willingly sacrifice their mental well-being in this way. Absolute crazy maker for me, but then they might think anyone who would make quilts is likewise nuts.

Kyra,
I'm glad you enjoyed it enough to share. I just thought most folk with an artistic bent could appreciate something like this
aesthetically. Me...I am just absolutely astounded and the must-be-better-words-than "patience" "discipline" Mymymymy!!
