Check your PBS station - I had the honor of being interviewed on the famed Sewing with Nancy show during the Nancy's Corner segment. Actually, two shows! They will be shown on January 30 and February 6... and repeated July 31 and Aug 7, 2011. (Programs 2425 and 2426). Nancy shares with her viewers my books on Martha Ann Ricks and Harriet Powers.Nancy Zieman has hosted Sewing With Nancy for the past 26 years. May I just share that Nancy and the staff at the Wisconsin Public TV station are marvelous .... from the make-up artist, film crew, and booking staff. And, Nancy herself is as friendly and as warm as she appears on tv. Enjoy!

How wonderful for you! It's nice to hear that you had a wonderful experience taping the show because Nancy is one of those women that I can say definitely influenced my sewing!

Way to go Cousin. Congratulations. It came on at 6:00 a.m. this morning. I have set my DVR to record the next couple of shows.
I will catch the February 6th Sewing with Nancy show. Also, I will look forward to seeing you when you come back to Omaha...so sorry the weather conditions were so adverse for today's visit :( bummer. I am so happy to be able to follow you on this blog though.
Congradulations Kyra. I am sure it was a delightful experience. Nancy seems to be a very wonderful and positive person. God blessed us all when he gave her a television program. We have learned so much from her.
I just saw the program and it was wonderful. It touched my heart, too, that the beautiful quilt was sold for $5 out of economic necessity. Thank you so much, Kyra, for all your research. As a quilter and genealogist, I will purchase you book asap to follow your wonderful research.
