Felix St. Fort's Mural of “Sunflower Quilting Bee at Arles”

Next time you're in Philadelphia, visit Felix St. Fort's 2007 mural featuring “Sunflower Quilting Bee at Arles,” a quilt by Faith Ringgold. The mural is located at 1756 N 29th Street. This and other Philly murals can be found at MuralFarm.org.

Wow! What an excellent way to share art with the community. Last week I was ruminating on something similiar...the older working class hoods have so much boarded up houses that I was wondering how the city, landlords, and artists could partner to paint, tile, mixed media,,,something, to make the boarded up housing more attractive in their meanwhile, ya know.
