TYPO FIX: Dr. Turner's book "Crafted Lives" is such a valuable point of ethnographic scholarly research, from someone who is a quilter too no less! Great Foreword in the book too Kyra :)
Angie, Thanks - yes, Crafted Lives is a wonderful book. I love that it has two major parts: profiles of individual quilters and discussions about topics in the field (e.g., Underground railroad quilts, Black History Month and quilts).
