Chloe Patchwork Dress $4,740

In this past Sunday's NY Times magazine, I had to tear out and find online to share with you - an example of when high fashion meets quilting.
From the Summer 2007 Chloe collection - this khaki lace and embroidered patchwork dress. The fashion ad said the price is $4,750. Funny as it may seem, I'd wear this dress! I like that it seems to have two deep pockets - and the various large buttons or pin on brooches are fabulous.
What do you think - would you wear this dress?

I was a model here in D.C. when I was in college, and got to do a Chloe show (when Karl Lagerfeld was designing it). One outfit that I wore, the jacket alone was over $3000, so the price isn't shocking. I like the quilty feel of it, but that price!

Kyra, I 'm sure you could MAKE that dress! I'd wear it, too, but honestly, I think it would look fabulous on you! Go for it!

I'd like to see it longer, at least mid calf and I'd wear it...wouldn't buy it, but I'd wear it.

Naw, I like fashion but I can't see me in that dress. the idea of merging Quilting and fashion is a good Idead but I am not feeling that dress.

Same fabric, different style, maybe. But as is, probably not. However, I do like the quilting and the color combinations are great.

Kyra, I think the dress is beautiful. You could certainly make it in whatever colors liked and save a couple of thousand dollars in the process!

Kyra -- I'd wear it in jewel tones which are more suitable to my skin tones. And I'd make it longer, just to the bend in my knee. Inspiring! Ruth

I would wear this dress but at 5'10" I would have to lengthen this bad boy to at least knee-length. I realize the model is probably taller than I am but she supposed to be a hanger -- not a real-llife woman trying to really move. Deborah
