Sistah Stitch Alot - Stunning!
If you are not familiar with the quilts of Yetunde, a Maryland quilter, do take a moment to visit her blog, Sistah Stitch Alot! She's been blogging since 2008 - and to read her posts is like reading a quilter's diary... with fabric pictures! She's even gathered her quilts in book form - one day I hope we'll all be able to have her quilt book in our libraries. You're sure to enjoy her portrait quilts. Happy Stitching!

Kyra, I visited yetunda's blog and subscribed. The idea of quilters gathering their works in a book for posterity, I think is fantastic. If more would look into the possibility and success-fully produce their work that way... just think what new images and ideas would be opened up for quilters around the country ... hmmm, around the world!
I just finished Dr. Mazloomi's book of collected Obama-themed quilts. The ideas, styles, shapes, colors are mindboggling and much appreciated by this non-quilter.
I'll bet most non-quilters don't realize that quilts are not all
pastel, flowery pieces of fabric
stitched together in a traditional rectangle to be used on a bed. You know that's what I thought before seeing your work and that of other quilters of color.
Wow; what a fabulous Laurence Fishburne quilt!
Thank you for featuring me on your blog, i am so honored.
